This charming story is based on a real-life onion peddler from France who
has been selling onions from his bicycle in London for many years. In this
story, Quizz, the cat, steals the onions and everyone in the neighborhood joins
a search to find them!

Paulette Sarmonpol was born in London but spent the early part of her
childhood in Thailand. Paulette and her daughter, Kai, now
live on the edge of Hampstead Heath, London where the story of Where are My Onions takes place.
Silvia Vignale lives in Genoa, Italy. In 1993, she won the UNICEF
"Illustrator of the Year" award at the Bologna Children's Book Fair. She is the
mother of two little girls, who constantly inspire and check her work.
