Charles Kelley was the world's greatest comic book artist until he disappeared without a trace. Two years later, his grandson Sam discovers a mysterious pen in Kelly's attic studio. Sam is soon propelled into a deadly dimension, where super villains are all powerful and disturbingly real, and into a confrontation with an evil entity imprisoned inside a mystical gemstone since the dawn of time.

Author Biography

Simon Rose is the author of five titles for Tradewind, including The Clone Conspiracy, The Sorcerer's Letterbox and Alchemist's Portrait. He was born in Derbyshire, England and has lived in Canada since 1990. Simon and his two children live in Calgary, Alberta.

Cynthia Nugent Cynthia Nugent is an award-winning children's book author/illustrator. She lives in Vancouver with her little dog, Emma.
