Wendy and Zachary decide to form a club to help their neighbors and come up with the name Angel's Inc. Their first mission, to help a woman across the street, ends in disaster. Then they paint a neighbor's shed, without his knowledge. For their next good deed, they offer to dog sit for Mrs. Haddock while she goes to the market. But the dog gets away and they return a very muddy dog to Mrs. Haddock. On their next mission, which was to mow Mrs. Creech's front yard, they notice a suspicious looking man and woman snooping around, who turn out to be thieves. After a chase, the culprits are arrested by the police . Charming black and white illustrations by award-winning artist Kim Lafave help make this a great chapter book for early-readers.

Author Biography

Bruce McBay was an English teacher at a Burnaby Secondary School for many years. As a former teacher, he is interested in writing books for reluctant readers. He co-wrote Nannycatch Chronicles (tradewind Books) andWaiting for Sarah (Orca) with James Heneghan.
